Ruffles from Etsy

I'm loving this t-shirt I found on Etsy. My notes say Desi Tee: Eliz and Axel, but I can't seem to find the seller. Such a fun little find!

**Thanks for the link Jenny!

Updated Palette

Here's a better take on our newly formed palette. We're gravitating more towards springy pastels versus dusty fall colors. It's a take off of J. Crew's upcoming colors: barely peach, champagne, sand, and blush. I'm going to try and grab some paint chips from Lowe's this week, so I can get a real grasp of the look we're going for. What do you think?

*We had a blast at Cedarwood. Linda was great and the grounds were more beautiful than we expected*

Cedarwood Visit

Friends I am super excited this morning: Mr. SE and I are finally going to visit Cedarwood! I've had my eye on this location since I started researching weddings 15 years ago (okay, only 2 years). I'll be sure to post about our visit, along with some much needed photos. Enjoy your Sunday!

Burlap Runners and Feminine Flowers

I love the look of this tablescape a la Sunday Suppers. The burlap runner is a nice contrast to the ultra feminine floral arrangements. Those glasses are my favorite- I love the idea of repurposing old beer bottles. What do you think of this look? It is too rustic or right on par with my theme?

Be sure to visit Sunday Suppers for some great recipes too. They're always featuring delicious and healthy bites, along with drool-worthy table settings. Enjoy!

Bachelorette Recap: Finally!

*Disclaimer: this is a ridiculously bad picture of Reid. He's way cuter now than he was in the beginning of the season. I think he worked out a lot during the home town visits*

Thank goodness Jillian finally got rid of Wes! Okay, so I just watched the episode last night. I totally agree with what she said, though, that she needed to let him go on her own notion. But seriously- WHAT A JERK! My jaw was literally hanging open while I listened to his monologue in the exiting limo. It was like watching a trailer at the end of the movie; I seriously couldn't believe the things that were coming out of his mouth. I digress...

So the three that remain are Ed, Kiptyn, and Reid. Ed leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like the way he left Jill for "work", and I'm concerned that he's likely to do it again if she were to choose him. Kiptyn and Jillian have a lot of fun together and I can potentially see them working out. But I just get this great feeling with she's with Reid. He sort of reminds me of her in the Bachelor: we didn't see a lot of him in the beginning, but their connection is great now. During the rose ceremony, I could not get enough of the way Reid was looking at her! They definitely act like a couple who's in love. So there you have it: my winning pick is Reid.

Ps: Is anybody else obsessed with her outfits? She wore the cutest clothes during the Bachelor, and they just keep getting better on the Bachelorette. I was loving her yellow skirt, and I'm thinking about trying to find one like it at Forever 21. What about this little beauty?

Float Paperie

Everything about Float Paperie makes me giddy inside! Their designs are slightly vintage, somewhat whimsy, and 100% chic. I'm obsessed! All of these save the date's are definite contenders. Even better? The top two designs are from their exclusive line for Minted.com. Beautiful stationery at a bargain price- I think so! Visit their website for more delicious eye candy.

River Rock and Ranunculus

The simplicity of this centerpiece is fantastic. I could make the table numbers myself, and the varying heights of containers create depth. The votives have a great effect and I like how they're scattered around the larger vases. If you know me, you always hear me talk about using coffee beans as a filler in centerpieces. I'm loving the river rock just as much (sshh...almost more) than the beans for this project! They're rustic look really compliments the flowers used. I'm not sure what those green ones are, but I think the middle height is ranunculus. Thoughts? Do you like this look? I'm obsessed with this pallete!!! Look out- the ball is rolling...

Beautiful Maids

I've put a lot of thought into what my bridesmaids will wear. There's a couple things that were important to me:

-They feel beautiful
-They look like themselves
-They're comfortable
-They'll 100% wear them again

So how have I decided to go about this? Enter my lover, J. Crew. They've got some great shades for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 Weddings & Parties line. I'll have my girls pick from several shades of champagne, blush, peach, and rose. Along with picking their own color, the girls can also choose their own style. Since they'll be choosing not only their own color, but also style- I'm sure they'll find something that they'd like to wear again. The J. Crew dresses aren't cheap, but they're classic and fantastic quality.

What do you think about having bridesmaids wear different dresses? Are you letting your girls freely pick their frocks or are you offering a couple options? I'd like to hear what others are doing (or have already done). Share a link to your pictures if possible!

Lovely, Lovely Cake

{left- Cake Girls; right-Dulce Desserts}

I'm obsessed with this blue cake. It's a vision- perfect in every way. Of course, I'd change the main color to a light blush or champagne. Mama SE has strongly encouraged against a colored cake! I can still work with the blush, mauve, cream palette. This design reminds me of my first love, made by Cake Girls (le sigh)

*Ps: I'm sorry my links that I worked SO hard on collecting are still missing. I'm just as sad as you are. Don't lose faith- they'll be back soon!
