And With The Monster Veil...

Comes the monster dress....I tried on the. biggest. dress. at David's on Saturday. The attendant kept trying to convince me that it'd be "perfect" for a Cathedral wedding, while I kept trying to convince her how hot Tennessee gets in August. For your viewing pleasure:
and this was all I could think of...Holy Moses it was a big dress! Honestly, I could've definitely hidden a person under there. Normally I'd be completely opposed to someone hiding under my dress, but I think it'd be necessary to have under-cover fan personnel under a garmet of that grandeur.

Onto more realistic dresses. Disclaimer: I wanted to sleep in, so I decided not to wash my hair. Don't judge me- it gets greasy really quick.
**Update** Mr SE saw these pictures on my computer and claimed that he does not care for either of the dresses. He doesn't know that they're my favorites and I almost wanted to buy one. Did anyone else encounter something like this?

As much as you adore his opinion .... pick the dress that suits you. He will love you in anything (and they probably all look the same to him)!!

I did the first time I tried on dresses. The truth is that when you're walking down the aisle with your hair and makeup all put together, he won't care which dress you chose. And if you ask him in 2 weeks about them, he probably can't accurately describe them.

Aww. I miss trying on dresses! And that IS a huge dress, holy cow...

LOL @ the hair. Your hair looks fine, and I don't think anyone would've noticed (even though you did mention it, I still don't think so). I'm the same way. If I want to sleep in, that means not washing my hair, and because I'm also blonde (which means darker roots), a day without washing means not so pretty hair, but sometimes it's worth the extra shuteye! :)

Did I really just rant about greasy hair? ;)

Good luck with the dress trying on.

ok youre probably going to hate me for this but as big as the first one is, i definitely liked the look of it. the sweetheart neckline is absolutely gorgeous on you! the other dresses are pretty too, but i think i like the sweetheart neckline more than the straight across.

I sort of like the big dress...hehehehe. My favorite is the second one you tried on!! Tell your Mr. that he will love you in whatever you wear - even if it is a bright blue tutu =0) That is what Mr. H told me.

LOL! That is a monster train! I do like it, but where will YOU be under that big ol' veil and dress? ;)

As for Mr. SE, I think Sweet Tea & Peonies has it right. Ask him to tell you about the dresses in 2 weeks and I'd bet big money he can't.

i think the full picture (hair, makeup, veil, bouquet, happy tears in your eyes) makes a big different. and i'm with sweet tea and peonies - 2 weeks, he'll be clueless again.

that said, i love them all.

Yup. Big Spoon is opinionated when it comes to dress styles and I picked out a few that had details I knew he wouldn't like. When I expressed to him that they fit me well and were favorites, he said that the important thing was to get a dress that I feel beautiful in and is "me". You look great in the last picture - I really like that one!

that first dress is monstrous!!
you look beautiful in the other 2! you have to get what makes you happy and the dress that you love!

Wow, that dress is huge! I like the second two dresses, but I've never had that dilemma as I've never gotten married before! I say go with what you think is most flattering on you, and I'll echo the other commenters who said he probably won't remember or know the difference :)

i think they are adorable on you! and uh, yea! i had that prob... i totally wanted to be a fun modern casual bride with a little short white dress... but stu was more traditional than i am so i ended up caring more about what he thought since he's the one i was walking down the aisle to!

honestly, he probably won't remember them from the pictures, & they look so different in person! make sure you feel good on your big day, & your feelings will reflect in your appearace!

Oh yeah, ordered a dress but then changed my mind and cancelled it the next day, showed my fiance the dress and he said, oh gross. What a huge confident booster but after 3 months of trying on dress, I have finally found the most perfect dress ever and I know he will love it without second guessing all the other ones. If you haven't found it yet, you will and you will know!
