We're using Liberty Party Rentals. I highly recommend their company, and make sure you ask for Mitch. You'll notice that I "highly recommend" all of my vendors. That's because I'd never use a vendor that I wouldn't recommend to a friend. This is a service related industry, and as brides it's important to not get pushed around or taken advantage of ($).I'm not saying you need to be a bridezilla, but I am telling you to shop around and be assertive. Those of you who are friends with me in real life know that I have some super aggressive spreadsheets for wedding planning. I researched the crap out of vendors. Confession? My photographer spreadsheet had over 50 companies. FIFTY! There were lots of columns relating to packages, pricing, and a personal rating. It's important to find the perfect marriage of your budget and personal preferences. If you find someone that you love, but they're way out of your budget, you're going to end up sad that you spent all that money. Just my two cents.

Are those the fruitwood folding chairs? I had those too! :)
Cute folding chairs!
I have a friend planning her wedding who could get some good ideas from your blog.
I totally agree with your philosophy of not spending too much or getting roped into marketing schemes for a wedding. It's a tricky business, but if you can manage an affordable event, you have that much more cash for a great honeymoon and a start on married life.
My husband and I got married a few years ago. We used a lot of creativity and help from friends to pull off a beautiful, lavish event for over 100 guests on a budget of $6,000. I can't recommend any specific vendors to you because I live in Michigan, but I do have some general tips and ideas for weddings on my blog, The Magic Nutshell, if you want to come check it out. :)
I totally agree. Part of my being "relentless" is/was my pursuit of researching all my vendors. Trying to find the best quality for the best price with a vendor who made me want to work with them. I got chiavari chairs for $3 off each chair (from first price quoted) and $50 off the total price to include satin cushion chairs (vs standard cloth). For 200 chairs it is basically $650 off and the company i'm using is VERY reputable.
So yes, I am in agreement and doing that with every vendor is always a great idea. It never hurts to research well and ask lots of questions :)
