This is what my bathroom counter has looked like lately. The storms of January and February have literally wreaked havoc on my head. I cannot explain how awful it is do know you're going to get a migraine from an impending snow storm, and not be able to do anything about it. Well otherwise medicate heavily, which makes work somewhat difficult.Luckily, my insurance allows me to get massages on a weekly basis, and pay for them from flex fund. I know I've mentioned it before, but Essential Therapy is amazing. They're located downtown and really close to my office. I've seen Susan since 2008, and just saw someone new last night, Jerri, since Susan's on maternity leave. Jerri was amazing. She specializes in TMJ and migraines- how perfect! She made me feel so much better, and I slept like a baby. The bad news? I still have somewhat of a lingering headache as of this morning. Thank you impending snow/rain.

Oh, you poor dear! I hope your head gets better ASAP. I've been a migraine sufferer since 2005, but I also experience several different types of headaches as well. I know exactly what sort of pain you are in and feel terrible for you.
I started seeing a chiropractor in Dec. 2008 and my head has been ten times better. I very rarely get a migraine now that I've been "fixed" and the ones I usually get are induced by my sinus headaches/tension.
Migraines are terrible! I have had only one since my 30 day migraine last Jan-Feb. Thank goodness... and KNOCK ON WOOD, haha.
I'm sure you'd gladly give up massages if it meant you were also giving up migraines, but the massages must feel WONDERFUL, no?
Hi, I was just wondering what insurance you have to get massages??
I've been suffering from migraines for years now and my doctor doesn't seem to do much about them. I'm in topamax now and I feel like the side effects from that are just as bad as the migraine.
I have Care First Blue Cross/Blue Shield out of Virginia. My mom is a teacher- so we get killer insurance. Unfortunately, I'm not covered after June since I have my own insurance now. Topamax is the worst. My roommate and I were both on it at one time, and we forgot words and had the worst tingly hands and feet. Yucko!
sorry you are getting those darn evil things!! hot baths, hot tea, and a call to my mom usually helps. <3
Thank you for the good ideas!
