This weekend's weather had me thinking about all the brides and grooms that planned perfect outdoor ceremonies and receptions. We originally wanted , but I couldn't handle leaving that up to chance.
Last week I discovered the high for Nashville in August was 107 degrees (1954). Yikes!!! Hopefully we won't have that type of heat for our wedding! The Farmer's Almanac is always kind of fun to look at for predictions, like a horoscope for weather. I don't really believe in them, but they're definitely fun to read. Here's their outlook for Summer 2010. What's your take- do you believe in the almanac? Were you a weather.com stalking bride, or did you just wait and see what the weather would bring?

Girl, the first thing I did when we picked our date was check the almanac for the sunset time! I want an outdoor wedding too and we chose a venue with a built-in rain plan.
I wish I had the almanac to refer too! But we are pretty confident about the weather in September but if things don't go as planned, we'll deal with it then :)
I had an outdoor wedding in April. It was a little windy, but it was about 70, so it was perfect. We had a rain location of in the clubhouse in front of a fireplace filled with candles, but it really wasn't that pretty. Not to mention, I don't know where 150 guests would've stood! All in all, I would've been married regardless, but I can't imagine having all of my portraits from inside!
I didn't really start stalking weather.com until about 10 days before our wedding. It showed a forecast of beautiful weather until like 2 days before when it showed rain and storms. I wasn't happy about having to tent our venue, but in the end, I didn't even notice it. And the clouds made for some awesome pictures!
I checked the almanac and once within 2 weeks stalked weather and accuweather websites. You only get married once so I feel the weather stalking was ok.
