Sunny With a Chance of SHOWERS!!!!!

This weekend I'm up in Virginia for my bridal shower! I couldn't be more humbled by the outpouring of love and support during our engagement- and this shower is just another way I've been reminded. My two aunts have planned the shower, and it'll be hosted at my parents' home (the house I grew up in). We've already received several gifts, and I can't wait to post pictures of the crazy decor.

But for now, please see the beautiful invitation made by Amanda from Customized Stationary. Amanda has been amazing during our planning process, and has provided paper products for our save the date, engagement party, and now my shower. Her prices are amazing, and she loves doing custom work. Head over to her Etsy site to take a look at some of her designs.

Engagement Party: The Invites

{mom and dad working on the invites}

You've already seen the design for our engagement party (by Amanda of Customized Stationary). But I never showed you the details- and I know you all love details! My sweet mom and aunt went to Paper-Source to find envelopes that matched the blue just right- white wouldn't cut it for these invites! The saleslady at Paper-Source had the great idea to emboss the envelopes with a gorgeous silver glitter snowflake. We used a blue glitter pen for the calligraphy, which my mom did herself (milky pen flashback from 7th grade anyone?). The results were fantastic!Mom hard at work with the glitter
All lined up and ready to mail!

Save That Date!

As most of our guests have received their save the dates, I'll go ahead and reveal them to you all now. We decided to go with a Nashville theme, so clearly a take off of Hatch Show Print was necessary. Luckily we were able to find a great Etsy seller, Amanda from Customized Stationary, to create our vision. You might recognize Amanda's shop, since she also designed Little Miss Southern's STD's as well.

So here's the finished product. Mr. SE and I couldn't be happier- and our guests have been raving! I definitely recommend Amanda if you're looking to do custom stationery for your wedding (or any other event).

*ps: Clearly this photo is not Mr. SE and myself, and some information has been changed.

Did you try and take a fun spin on your save the dates? What do you think about our first little "welcome to Nashville"?
