Organize.com

I love this website. Granted I've actually never ordered anything- BUT I have been stalking for awhile. They have great decor inspiration for the Type A in us all. There's also a great blog {Mrs. Organized} that showcases tips and inspiration daily. As if the site wasn't sweet enough, there's a wedding section where you can pick up super cute gifts for the uber organized bride. Or maybe just a bride that you think should be more organized! My current obsession is this wine rack.
Such a fantastic use of space- love it!!!Do you have a home decor/inspiration site that you can't live without?

Getting Blackout

This isn't about my obsession with Sauvignon Blanc. It's about our bedroom curtains- and a little tidbit I thought you decorating divas might be interested in. We previously purchased some cheapo drapes for Mr. SE's bachelor pad bedroom. But now that we'll be sleeping there together (and we're next to the apartment complex entrance), I wanted to purchase something nicer. Blackout curtains have always seemed like such a fantastic fantasy to me- especially with my migraines. I'm sure Mr. SE will be pumped that I won't be sporting any more eye masks while sleeping. The curtains I purchased claim to block 90% of light and a large amount of noise. Sign me up!!!!

First I went to Bed Bath & Beyond. Can I just say that I have an aggressive love affair with this store?! I picked up these Eclipse panels for $29.99 each. Obviously I had my 20% coupons on hand. I also had some things to pick up at Walmart, so I decided to check out their curtain situation. Walmart had some blackout curtains at a much better price, $14.97 per panel thankyouverymuch. Although the price was more appealing, I was concerned about the quality versus my BB&B lovelies. Which panel do you think is more expensive?

{the one on the right is my cheapo find}
Hooray!!!

Number Lovin'

Does that kind of sound like Summer Lovin' from Grease? I think that's what I was going for. Anyways- I'd love to make one of these little lovelies like Katie over at Bower Power. She has some fantastic home decorating/remodeling projects. I love the idea of this project. I'm not sure if those are their house numbers, or just numbers that they like. I think I'll do it in our apartment number. Tres chic! See the project details {here}

Garnish Contest at The Perfect Palette

I won my first contest! Friends, I'm super excited. Garnish is the perfect resource for someone like me: I love to be crafty, but have a little trouble getting started. They provide the basic product (basket, crate, bottle, etc.) and you bedazzle it up! Sounds perfect. I've been super busy and didn't see the contest winner post until now. Yay!! This will give me something to look forward to as I study for my Responsible Leadership final tomorrow...

Please check out The Perfect Palette, too!

Uh-Oh

Bad new, readers. Mr. SE received our PB Boathouse bedding in the mail yesterday. Foremost, he was confused why a duvet cover was A) so small and coincidentally B) so expensive. I explained that it wasn't really a comforter, but something that went over the comforter. But seriously- why are they so expensive? Mama SE made all my bedding for college, she should definitely go into business when she retires. Check out her wonderful Laura Ashley creation below.
On another note, Mr. SE reported that our lovely red-ish strips in fact look more pink. He claims the duvet cover looks like fruit stripe gum. Oh no! I can't see it since I'm not in TN yet. I'm thinking that we're going to have to return it, on account of the fact it didn't arrive as advertised. Does anyone have experience returning catalog purchases to Pottery Barn? I'd love some tips.

Letterpress Lovelies

Mr. SE is busy watching the Hawks/Heat game, so I can make a quick post. How cute are these letterpress cards from Things Are Better With a Parrott. I can't remember how I stumbled on her site, chalk it up to a gazillion hours on the internet, but I'm in love. Sarah makes custom letterpress stationery and invitations. Her blog is updated a lot, and of course she has an Etsy site. Enjoy!

On another note, Mr. SE gave me another birthday/anniversary gift last night. We're going to cooking school again! He gave me a gift certificate so we can pick the class together. He's the best!
