The SE's Have an Outing

Sometimes I like to leave my bronchitis cave and make a public appearance. This weekend was no exception. Mr. SE and I flew up to Baltimore for the wedding of Mom & Dad SE's goddaughter. Amy was an absolutely beautiful bride, and her husband was moved to tears her entire walk down the aisle. Most touching wedding moment to date: best man reaching out and patting back of groom as he's crying, watching his bride walk down the aisle. Holy waterworks! Mom SE did a reading in the wedding and she did very well, despite being incredibly nervous beforehand. Amy wore the most classic, timeless dress- she looked like Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn (you'd love it Mrs. Smith). My pictures came out awful- but hopefully you can get a feel.
The reception was held at Washington Golf and Country Club- hello fancy! Cocktail hour was on a covered portico overlooking the green. I had a hard time keeping Mr. SE from trying to get down there and play (yes, in the rain). This wedding was so perfect to me. I would've been incredibly happy to just cut and paste myself and Mr. SE into it. And because I know you luuurrrve the detail shots...all anonymity just went out the door...And if there's any males reading this- perhaps this will keep you interested. Please don't write a rude comment since I assumed only guys play golf. Actually, I play golf. And it's my blog, so I don't need a disclaimer.

Houston We Have A Date

{at least we'll have longer to practice our dance moves}

Mr. SE and I have officially set a date. Our first date (April 10th) encountered several snafus with Cathedral availability and a very short engagement. We're much more comfortable with this date: mama SE will be retiring at the end of next school year, so she'll be available to visit and help over the summer, Christmas and Thanksgiving won't take up 2 months of our engagement, and hopefully we'll be settled in our new house.

So for all of you ladies getting married so soon (I can't wait to see pictures!), you'll get to enjoy blogging from Chez SE for another year! Yes, I love you too!

*Louise kindly pointed out that I didn't specify the date...it's August 14th, 2010.

A Beautiful Wedding in Baltimore: Part II

I can't believe there's only 1 picture of Mr. SE and I at Kate's wedding! I was too busy taking pictures of everybody else that I forgot to take a picture of us. How unusual- I'm usually very snap happy. Anyways, Mr. SE requested that I post the picture of us. So enjoy!

A Beautiful Wedding in Baltimore

Kate was married in a lovely Catholic Mass, followed by a tented wedding in her backyard. The tent was beautiful, it looked like something out of the Great Gatsby. We had so much fun, and the pictures speak for themselves.

Have you ever seen a more elegant bride? I got butterflies every time I looked at her!Obviously good times were had for all. Me dancing in the "circle" with the bride. They did a dance where all married couples were on the dance floor, then you left based on the amount of years you'd been married. The winners? Kate's maternal grandparents that have been married for 60+ years. How cute are they?!? What great role models for a lasting marriage filled with love.

Forgot My Purse, Bummer

I just arrived at Chez Mom and Dad SE in the big VA. I'll have sporadic internet until Sunday night, so don't plan on many blog posts. During my flight I realized that I left my dressy clutch (for K's wedding) at home. Luckily Mr. SE is flying up Friday night, so I'll have him bring it.

But if I had to pick another clutch right now, I'd choose this one from Etsy. This would be a perfect bridal option too. Something blue? I think so.

Eggplant and Cowboy Boots

I am 125% in love with this photograph from Mint & Sage. They're amazing and I just wish we could afford them! I love the filter used on this image, and the short dress/cowboy boot combo is too cute. Purple is such a hot color for weddings right now.

A Picnic for Two...or 100

We're here in Atlanta for Meghann and Adam's wedding. Mr. SE is a groomsman, and with a palette of espresso and champagne (does this sound like our living room?) the wedding is sure to impress. Tonight was the rehearsal dinner, and we had a lovely time. Mr. SE has taken Adam and the other groomsman to see The Hangover (yes, again). Not sure if that's the most positive message before the wedding, but Adam said he'd really enjoy seeing it. Tomorrow we'll be having the wedding in the early evening, so blogging will be on hiatus. Don't ask me why I didn't bring my laptop- or a toothbrush?!?! I'll definitely post pictures of the wedding- as if that's even a question. For now, take a gander at this lovely picnic inspired wedding from Oh Happy Day! I love, love, love picnics. Mr. SE and I are planning on taking a picnic to Arrington Vineyards next weekend. Also- my mom is planning a picnic for Mr. SE and myself at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore after K's wedding weekend! Purple is SO hot right now, and I'm loving all of the simple details that this event has to offer. Here's the link for more pictures.

Also- Duffie had her first hair cut in Nashville and I'm glad to report she looks fabulous! We went to Nashville Pet Products and she had the whole she-bang for $32. Not bad!

She Takes The Cake

Alright, that was very corny. Do you want less posts a day and more clever titles? Didn't think so. Amy from {with the pixie grin} had her wedding last weekend. I've been following her blog for awhile now, and it was quite exciting to see all of her hard work come to fruition. One of my favorite aspects of her wedding was the cake. She blogged about ordering from Publix, and I could hardly contain my excitement while waiting to see a picture. It's settled. We'll be getting ours from Publix too. I love the simplicity of the design, especially with her homemade cake topper.

A Charming Elopement

I found this story via {frolic}. What a beautiful way to have an elopement. The couple has a really touching story that you can read on the {frolic} site. I absolutely love the simplicity of this wedding, their only attendants were a couple they met at the park. The bride and groom look so at ease and in love. Love, love, love this. Some days Mr. SE and I talk about how lovely it would be to put on a nice white sundress and go downtown to get married. Just focusing on the marriage. That's what it's all about right?

This is a very picture heavy post- I couldn't pick a favorite!
