Oh boy, here we go! Maybe you remember me? My name is Sarah, and I got married last August. I had a brief hiatus from blogger, but I'm back and ready to roll. This is the beginning of our wedding recaps. I'm going to start with the beginning of the day and go from there. All photos unless otherwise noted are by the always fabulous Zach and Jody of Gray Photography.

After our rehearsal dinner, I turned in for the night at Hutton Hotel, while the bridal party and guests stayed across the street at the Courtyard Vanderbilt. My experience at the Hutton wasn't great, but I was too happy about the weekend ahead to complain. Essentially there was a party on my floor and people were running down the hall all night (even though we had half the square footage reserved between my room and the meeting room for the next morning). Regardless, I was a happy camper and buzzing like a bee when my alarm went off at 6:30. And where did I head? Obvs to the Hutton gym for a last minute arm workout.
If we're friends IRL you know that I was obsessed with my arms looking fantastic in our wedding pictures. And yes, I was wearing my VS white boxer shorts and "BRIDE" tank while I did my arms. I think it was confusing to the other guests- esp since I was wearing flip flops.
After my 10 minute arm workout, I went back to the room where I welcomed the delivery from Jason's Deli. (Advice: have food catered while getting ready). Also, we have a friend who works at the hotel and he sent up a tray of danish, fruit, and coffee. Nice touch!
My mom, aunts, mother in law, and bridesmaids all started arriving and I knew the day was here. I've waited 23 years for my wedding day and I can't put into words the excitement I felt when everyone started pouring in the conference room!
We chatted, and started hair/makeup by the amazing Sherita Leslie and team- then it was time for me to have my hair done. My parents and I headed out for a 9am appointment at Trim with Will (amazing hair stylist and love of my life for coming in on a Saturday).
After a fun hour of primping with my main man Will, my parents and I hopped in the car and headed back downtown to Hutton. Having my parents go with me to Trim was a special experience, kind of like the calm before the storm. It was great to be virtually the only people in the salon and savor those quiet moments together with just the 3 of us (I'm an only child).
