Gallery Frames

I'd really like to do some frames like this for our apartment. The shelves don't cost too much ($10 at Target) and the pictures can be changed out seasonally. I like the idea of doing bright photos to contrast the black frame and cream matting. Or you could do a mix of black & white and color. Is this just a trend or do you think it'll last?

Sorry I haven't been blogging much about weddings lately. I've just really had decorating on my mind, seeing as I'm moving next Sunday!!!!

Several years back I started framing all my art in black frames. For a while there, I chose the same frame over and over, then I started moving on to various styles of black frames. I collect local art from my travels, so there's few similarities between pieces. However, there seems to be a cool continuity throughout the house because of the frames. You might could choose a "theme" of frame or matte (color, texture, whatever) and run with it. See what happens!

Not a trend at all!! This is a perfect way to bring charm and character to any room or wall!! It shows your personality!!! I think every house I've worked on has this somewhere in their home!! I've changed the one in my den from being super organized, to funky and eclectic. I love it! I framed different pics, different fabrics, and now I've done silouhettes (because I'm obsessing over them lately!). Get creative!!! And post pictures when you finish!! LOL!!
