So much time is spent deciding the bridal gown, shoes, and accessories. And if you've ever been a bride, or involved in a wedding, you know the bridesmaid dress selection isn't a walk in the park either. So why make a quick decision and overlook the men who will play a role on your big day? Mr. SE looks guh-or-gus in a tux- like double take levels of handsomeness.
{in case you wanted to see proof of the hottness}He knew from the start that he wanted the guys to wear a tux, and I left the rest up to him. Trust and let go, trust and let go. I have to keep repeating it to myself so I don't freak sometimes! What did my handsome almost-husband pick? A winning combination in my book!
If you recall, the bridesmaids are wearing cobalt blue cocktail length dresses. Mr. SE decided that he didn't want his guys in a color, and would instead let the bridesmaids shine (what a gentleman). Here's what he picked. The base is a Calvin Klein tux for all: black vest and tie for groomsmen, white vest and tie for Mr. Groom, and navy vest/tie for our dads. I love it! So classic and beautiful. The men will have boutonnieres of white orchids tied with gold ribbon (from Hillary @ Brocade, in case you forgot). Here's how they'll look together...

Our rentals are from Men's Wearhouse in Mt. Juliet (I reazlied last year its WEAR not WARE. How cute is that!?!?). Their staff is fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. We love how the guys can visit their local MW to get fitted, and pick them up at the store in Mt. Juliet for the wedding.

I love that you trusted him to do this on his own!! I don't know if I'd be as trusting of Mr.Vid. Mr.SE did an awesome job though! :)
I'm leaning towards cobalt or navy BM dresses. What dress did you chose for the girls? I love the tuxes from MW. I'll suggest it to my FI because there is one right around the corner from our house.
My man owns 1 suit from Target. He's terribly annoying to shop with. I'm gonna send him to a tux store with my brother who has much better fashion sense & hopefully they do well...here's to wishful thinking ;)
P.S. I gave you an award on my blog, check it out!
Ugh, the tux shopping. We also got ours from Men's Wearhouse. I really loved the way the look came together. Very similar to yours...also the Calvin Klein. Though we had our dads in the black vest and tie and we did bring color in for the groomsmen with a red vest and tie. We also did all black shirts for the groomsmen. But Mr Fix It looked very similar to what your guy will wear. I loved it.
As much as I love the suit look or the bow tie and cutesy new trends that are in weddings often, nothing beats the classic sexiness of a black tux!
I had to go with Mr Fix It to pick these out though because if I didn't, he would have come back with a white tux and tails! BOYS!
My MIL pushed for tuxes, but our wedding was out on the lake, and I felt like tuxes were too formal for the more relaxed feel I wanted. My groom and his men wore navy blue blazers, blue oxford shirts and khakis. I got/get SO many compliments for doing something "different," and the best part was I felt like my husband looked like himself (he's a classic dresser) at our wedding, and it is such a classic combo that it will never look dated!
