Rose & Yellow Gold Bands

our rings
Now ladies, before you get your panties in a twist...I am perfectly happy with my ring and band. It's only been (almost) 1.5 years since our wedding and I'm not thinking about adding another band to the mix. But if I was, I can't get past these gorgeous mixes of white/gold and white/rose. What do you think? My band and engagement ring are already mixed in textures, so I think it'd be fun to bring a color into the mix.
huge stone- but you get the idea

A steal at only $30

from Pinterest

Love this set! Would like it more if the engagement ring was white gold
Only $150, sapphire
Perfection!

and if I could get a right hand ring, this would be it
Do you like matchy matchy bands with rings, or are you game for a little mixup?

Forever 21 Favorites

This necklace is so much fun. I picked up a copy of In Style Makeover today at the doctor's and it was filled with this new trend. I love the idea of pairing a super fab necklace with a plain white tee or tank. Black would also look nice.
This dress just speaks for itself. Yes, it's incredibly trendy and the style won't last for long. But at this price? Why not have some fun!

Bridesmaids Gift

This necklace from Diane Warner, a Nashville native, would be a wonderful bridesmaids gift. I love the simplicity of the pendant, yet it could also be dressed up. What are you all getting your maids for their gifts?

A Little Bling for The Lady

{perfection}
We're heading to the jeweler this week to work on our ring. Yesterday's meeting got canceled because Mr. SE had a late night at work. It was his first day being a boss! Anywho- I definitely want a 6 prong solitaire, round diamond. Simple right? Not so quick, it's difficult to find the perfect set of prongs. Please notice the Tiffany ring (top), their prongs are sheer perfection. Not too thick, and they let lots of light to the diamond. The second ring (White Nile) has prongs that are much too thick. So here's the line we're trying to straddle- thin prongs to let light in, not too think that they're not secure. I'll be sure to report back after our appointment.

This One's For The Guys

Okay, it's CMT Music Fest and I'm a little sad that we'll be out of town. I'm not sad that Mr. SE's bff is getting married, but I'm bummed we'll miss the concerts. Anywho- I had to give a musical shout out. Obviously, Martina McBride.

My previous post about boutonnieres got me thinking about the groom. Yeah, remember him? The reason your going through these 6, 9,or 12 months of planning bliss. I think the groom is easily forgotten in the madness that we call wedding planing. So here's my toast to the groom (did anybody just think of SATC?), this post is for him.

I recently saw some totally awesome male wedding bands via We Met in A Bar. She posted about how they wanted a simple titanium band, but were able to find a more affordable option by Etsy seller Zoe and Doyle. This seller makes fantastic bands at an even better price ($45-$79). Heather reports that the quality is right up there too! Hello, how cute is the case it comes in?

*I promise to post pictures from the weekend. Mr. SE is a groomsman and he looks darn sexy in a tux*

Pretty Things

{earrings from Margaret Elizabeth}

Today's post is just some pretty things I've been meaning to show you, and keep getting distracted by other pretty things! I'm super busy today with studying for an exam, so I didn't have time to do anything fancy.

A Little Bling For The Lady

Is there anything more exciting than that little blue box?

Mr. SE asked me to give him some more specific ideas on rings. I initially wanted a solitaire with pave band, then a simple solitaire, then some trendy Tacori stunners caught my eye. What can I say? I'm a girl! This is the single most important piece of jewelery I'll ever own. I plan on being with Mr. SE for the rest of my life, and this ring will always be on my hand as a sign of my commitment to him and our marriage. So it's clearly a big decision!

We tried on solitaires, along with solitaires with pave bands. I really though I'd go the pave route, until Mr. SE placed that simple beauty on my finger. I do declare! I got a little teary, it seemed positively bridal. I loved it.
Here's a picture of what I'm thinking we'll do. The pave wedding band compliments a solitaire beautifully. I love the contrast between the two rings.
I'd like to point out that I'm only using Tiffany rings for the purpose of a good picture. As I've said before, I'm a super bargain queen and I hope Mr. SE takes the same route. I love a "blue box" as much as the next girl, but I'd also like to save the "Tiffany" engraving on the band and get more bang for the buck! Their rings come with a price tag, and I think Mr. SE can get a good deal somewhere else. But it doesn't mean I don't still drool over their ads!

Did you go back and forth with your ring? Or were you set on the style that you wanted? I'd love to hear comments and stories on this one. I know you all have them! And readers who aren't engaged yet- have you picked a ring together or is it a secret?
