Little White Dress

The BCBG Applique Dress created quite a stir in the wedding blogosphere. This little number is perfect for a reception dress, casual wedding, after party, or rehearsal dinner. Lots of bridal designers are starting to feature shorter dresses for the more modern bride.

Top: BCBG
Bottom: Oscar de la Renta, Shoshana, Priscilla of Boston, Watters

Are you risky enough to wear one for the reception? Or do you think this is a trend better left for rehearsal dinner/after party?

I had to buy this when I saw it:

I've already got a floor-length dress for the ceremony (and probably the reception dancing, too)... but the shortie's just too cute ;)

Rehearsal Dinner is where I'll be showcasing my Little (Off) White Dress! Oh and I'm super excited to find somebody else blogging around Nashville... I knew I couldn't be the only one!

i actually realllly realllly wanted to wear a short dress as my wedding dress, but the husband thought it was kinda odd so I cared more about him liking my dress lol. i still think it would have been awesome though and very me. :-)

I actually wore the BCBG dress you commented about at my reception, I wore it pretty late in the night and was so glad to take off my gown. We decided to hit a couple of honky tonks after wards and it was perfect. .

Wow! Thanks for all the comments. I love the idea of a shorter dress for late in our reception and/or after party.

I LOVE the idea of a short white dress for the rehearsal or after party! No one wants to drag around a heavy wedding dress all night long. =0)
