Rehearsal Dinner Shoes: Part II

The search for my rehearsal dinner shoes continues (read part I here). Thank you for all of the advice regarding the shoes and what style to choose! I ordered several hot pink pairs from Zappos, and they weren't the coral-ish color I was looking for. I loved the shoes, but they didn't have the same style as the dress. So here I am again, checking out from Zappos.com (again- feel free to sponsor my posts please).
If you forgot what my dress looks like, here it is again. And below are the next round of shoes that I've purchased. On the advice of Bridesmaid Nicole (a former pageant queen), I've decided to try the nudes.

Summer Shoes on A Budget

Every year I'm on the hunt for the perfect summer sandals. This summer my quest was for a pair of gold flats and some hot wedges. I can't remember the last time I shopped at Rack Room, but they totally delivered. I picked up these Sahara thongs for $14.99 and the Dillon wedges for $19.99. They are currently running a BOGO sale, so my total ended up being $30! Have you found any great buys on summer staples?

Badgley Mischka Randee

I bought them. These babies have been on wedding blogs all over the country, and what's not to love? The color is beautiful, and the frills are so girly and fun. I decided to try a nude-peach"ish" heel with the rehearsal dinner dress from the below post. We'll see if they live up to the hype.

*On a site note- I think Zappos should start compensating me for all the endorsements I provide*

Rehearsal Dinner Dress: Shoe Edition

This is the dress I'm 95% wearing to our rehearsal dinner. I always knew I wanted to wear white, and the dress needed to reflect the formality of the event. I ordered 6 dresses from Nordstrom.com and this one was my favorite (and the least expensive!). But here's my problem- I don't know what kind of shoes to wear!

As you can see, the dress is all white except for a silver zipper in the back. The silver shoes that I own are more of a metallic silver, and don't go with the metal look of the zipper. I initially wanted to wear gold shoes, but the gold/silver issue troubles me. I need your advice! What shoes would you wear- and if they're online please send me a link.

Accesorize Me: Shoe Edition Part II

This isn't the first time I've posted about my wedding shoes. It's been an ongoing saga. The previous Nina shoes didn't work out, and I decided that closed-toe shoes would be too hot for our August affair.

So after ordering 7 pairs of shoes from Zappos (free shipping both ways = amazing), I have finally found my wedding shoe. She's so pretty and perfect and I just love how secure she makes my ankle feel. It goes without saying that we're a perfect match made in bridal heaven. She's currently a lovely shade of white satin, but she'll be sporting a more stylish look on our wedding day.

I'm going to have the shoes dyed at Peabody Shoe Repair in Hillsboro Village. Bridesmaid Nicole (former pageant queen- woot!) assures me that dyeing shoes is safe, as she did it all the time for pageants. I trust her- as of now.

Here are my precious/sassy wedding shoes...

Did it take you a long time to find your wedding shoes? Or did you know exactly what you wanted ahead of time?

Shoes in Royal Blue

I've decided to sport royal blue shoes on our wedding day. Why? There's several reasons. To name a few:

A) How often will I re-wear white, fancy shoes?
B) They could count as my something blue
C) Blue is my favorite color!
D) I'll be reminded of our wedding day every time I wear them after
These babies are my muse. Yes, they're a Carrie Bradshaw knock-off and I've posted about them before. But I don't care, I'm in love. My only concern is the heat. I'd like to have open toed shoes to a) keep my toes cool and b) show of my wedding day pedi. That being said, royal blue/cobalt shoes are hard to find. They were all the rage last year, so I'm hoping they make a big comeback in holiday collections this year. Until then, I'll lust over these beauties.

Side note- I've thought about purchasing dyeable shoes and having them done in a royal blue. The only problem is that all dyeable shoes I've ever tried on feel like crap. Of course, Stuart Weitzman and Cole Haan make dyeable versions, but I'd like to stay under $100.

Did any of you wear non-white shoes under your gown?

Cobalt Inspiration

I'm very stuck on this cobalt color. It makes my heart sing. My lovely bridesmaids will be sporting cobalt dresses with gold accessories- I'm getting excited just thinking about it! Since the color is so specific, it's hard to find inspiration.

This wedding definitely has the blue I'm looking for. And while we're going for a cobalt, teal, royal, gold type of combo, this couple rocked their theme- right down to the bride's shoes! I love it!{all images are from Style Me Pretty}

Sex & The City: For the Budget Bride

Found these amazing Carrie Bradshaw look alikes via Zappos. Enter Martinez Valero: Zenith. These shoes are so incredibly beautiful and I would love to see them peeking out from under a wedding gown. They're dead ringers for Carrie's beloved Manolo's, but without the crazy pricetag. These babies can be all yours for $179 (and free shipping). Oooh I want them so bad!I also saw these cute little tootsie toppers, Ivana by RSVP (only $89). These would be a fantastic option for the more traditional bride (white), that wants to infuse some fun into her day (heel applique). I've never purchased a pair of RSVP shoes before, but they definitely have some great options for brides.

Fantabulous Shoes

It's no secret that I aspire to be like Kelly Ripa- she's such a sweetheart and I'm obsessed with everything she wears. Luckily the show's website now features a "Fashion Finder" section where you can see the breakdown of Kelly's outfits. Okay- they're SUPER expensive, but a girl can dream right? I'm in love with these Bottega Veneta heels. But at $950, I can't spring for a pair.
